I ended up deadheading 312 miles to recover a load. A driver is broke down at the volvo in Duncan, SC. I'll deliver tonight in Pageland, then get a preload out of Sauer for New Century. These extra miles really helped out, because I was gonna end up with 23-2400 for the week. I'll take em!!

Heck yeah, those few hundred miles are nice. Better than having a short day this weekend. And Pageland is definitely one of the better Walmarts to get stuck with.

They've got me pre-planned out til next Wednesday now lol. Picking up a short haul from Craftsmen to Holts Summit after I drop and then picking up from Holts Summit headed to Bessemer, AL for a Wednesday morning del.

Gotta say, working with only Rob and Travis was awesome as well, but Justin seems to know how to cut the loads down to only an hour or two to spare instead of 5-6 hours. Could just be coincidence, but this is two weeks now of cookin' along all week with almost no down time. Planned out perfectly to sneak in a 34 on Sunday, assuming all goes smoothly headed back.

Oh yeah, man, I've been cooking with hot grease for real these last few weeks. The only time I really take a punch is if I have to go home for doctor appt. Even then, that's not a very big loss. Justin and Rich have #### sure been good planners. I wonder where you're headed to in Bessemer. Maybe Dollar General?

Actually ended up being a two stopper when I read closer. One in Puxico, MO at Holloway Distribution and one to Piggly Wiggly in Bessemer. This and the 3 stopper last week are PFS loads, so looks like we'll be getting used to them lol. Seems like there'll be some interesting loads compared to our normal lanes. Hopefully they're all decent miles like these 2 and it doesn't turn into a ton of 3 stoppers within MO.

Excited to pull a trailer with chicken tenders on the side though whenever we get the chance lol

When I worked for the other reefer company in Union years ago we had a lot of those PFS runs. Ours came out of St. Peter’s. Puxico MO, Paducah KY, Batesville MS and Appleton WI are the ones that stand out in my mind.

Apparently Climate is taking over their transportation. Trailers, trucks, and drivers. They were scraping off the PFS stickers from the front of the reefer units when I was there yesterday and saw 6 or 7 Climate trucks picking up while I was there.

They had the door logos and DOT numbers off the PFS Cascadias too.

Curious how it's gonna play out. I like multi stoppers cause I just view it as the same miles with extra pay, but I know some people hate it.

I know the two I've done so far have been scheduled pretty tight and require splits, so I guess it'll just depend how fluent drivers are with HOS lol. But it's good news for Climate as a company and job security, at least. I assume their backhauls come with it.

Oh yeah, man this change is good news. They got a little more diversified in their customer freight, and probably got some quality drivers in the process. I've seem those pro foods trucks pretty much everywhere so I anticipate some good miles. That Champs chicken is quite good too lol. I like the multiple stop loads too. I'll take all that extra cash.

I delivered at Sauer in New Century Sun night/Monday morning. The gave me a reload to Fairfield, OH for Thursday. My hrs were shot so thats probably why they told me to plan on delivering it. Then I'm going down to Murfreesboro this weekend to see some family. That's the one thing about putting in requests. Your paycheck will suffer. Lol

Things change with one move I swear lol. I ended up staying at Sauer til I got a 34. They had me drop the reefer at Craftsmen and grab a dry van to go back to Sauer. The reefer I brought in Sunday night(3642) took a major #### and threw a code. It was low refrigerant pressure. It wouldn't stay running. Luckily another reefer was there for me to load it yesterday(3983). I'm so glad I got to drop that load because I really did not want to go to that PFG in Fairfield, OH. That place can be a nightmare. I'm loading for Searcy, AR Walmart. It's been years since I've been to that Walmart.

Yeah, it's a tough balance for sure. Freight picks up this time of year and wanna run, but also the time of year where family's start having more time and reasons to go home

At least you got a few more miles and get to avoid the grocery warehouses. And down to Searcy is a better ride than Ohio, so it's a win win.

Those 36xx trailers get a little rough around the edges lol. They stress me out on refrigerated loads
