What do ya'll think about buying a another truck right now?

I was in a similar situation. Ended up getting a 2021 Freightliner from Pedigree Truck Sales. They do a dyno, inspected, and serviced the truck. I've had great luck with it and it averages around 8.5 mpg. Did you decide what to do?

Seems like a steal to me.
I remember not too long when something like this would be $100,000+ before trucking rates crashed.

I would definitely go with thee Kenworth instead of the international. Very tempting other then the fact that it's in California. I'm in Texas.

Even before my engine died all the scrappy plastic parts constantly were going out of me.
Was going crazy from the repairs.

Crap. That sucks. Yeah mine is still going strong. Plastics are fine. I'll admit there's a bit more rattling noise in the cab though.

815k? Spend more $$ than the Trucks worth. Run it at least 2-3 more years trying to justify the money spent. Maybe a couple more years trying to save $$ for a newer Truck. By then the Trucks 15 yrs old. Everything’s been replaced. And it’s still only worth $10k or less. Having 0 payments only pays off if you can run it at least a couple more years before a major catastrophe. I say upgrade now, while you’re ahead, 480k, 5 yrs old? 3 yr plan? Back in the same boat. Maybe worse. Go for something newer. Run the numbers. Include fuel mileage and extra insurance costs. Right Truck right price, better in the long run. Try to be paid off under 700k miles. Sooner the better. Keep upgrading ASAP. Try to avoid the major problems while still owing $$$. That’s a trap that many get caught up in. A nice 2-3 yr old Truck with 200-300k for half the price of equivalent new Trucks. Might just be better off in 3-5 yrs from now. Avoid being stuck with a Truck longer than you want to be. It never ends well.
