Now that i think i remember those 10 12 axle truck trailers in Mich in early 90's , never seen that anywhere but Mich .

 

Yeah, in MI on non-Interstates, you can run up to I think 160K as long as you have the axles for it.

Laws are built on strict requirement. The statute in this case was not fully adhered to, thus the case was dismissed.

The lesson is that a sloppy case/presentation is likely to be dubious and not hold up to intense scrutiny.

Even I have eked out a victory in court due on such a technicality.
