Bryan (above) is right.
You will make a MUCH BETTER impression on future employers -- if you stay where you are for 6 months -- & then switch over to WE flatbed (& then stay there, for a while).
I did something very similar, with Schneider.
Been there, done that.....

I always said that WE was so bad that not even a tornado could destroy it!!!
OP tough it out for a few more months. When I was there I lasted a year and a half before moving on to better things.
At that time most drivers threw in the towel after 3-5 weeks!Bud A., Still undecided, Tall Mike and 3 others Thank this. -
whew, 1,500 miles a week? I guess we're safe knowing their trucks are sitting the majority of the time.
Still undecided, Tall Mike and Vrgadin Thank this. -
Tonight times don't last but tough companies do lol

Careful; that call may be construed as a threat, which could revoke your parole. We don't want you going back to prison.....

Even back then unless you had preplans lined up the weekend dispatch didn’t really do jack****!
40 cents a mile is UNSUSTAINABLE,let alone $600 a week, with inflation and the costs of living. Even 10 years ago WE was notorious for being cheapskates-to the point where they were losing customers left and right because of the crappy condition their trailer fleet was in! And they definitely weren’t treating their drivers any better, when I started with them they tried starting me at 26 CENTS A MILE-no that is not a typo or a misprint!!Bud A., Still undecided, TB John and 3 others Thank this. -
In 2010, I made 29 cpm to start out lol. They made up for it with endless miles though. Maybe my experience was better being on the flatbed side. I noticed they just recent replaced some of their flatbed trailers. Western certain was never too quick to replace trailers. I still see some of those old SMX dry vans every once in a while lolmjd4277 Thanks this.

Yup, they will still literally run those old SMX trailers into the ground before they buy a new trailer!! That’s one of the reasons why they lost so many customers. Holes in the floorboards, holes in the side walls, tandems that refused to slide, And let’s not forget my personal favorite, registration issues(i.e. cardboard or paper copies of license plates)!bryan21384, Bud A., Still undecided and 3 others Thank this.

Call TMC back tell them your situation maybe they will offer again.mjd4277, motocross25, broke down plumber and 2 others Thank this.
