I’ve only used Motive and haven’t had any issues. I can’t remember what it’s called but there’s another port to plug into under the dash instead of using the diagnostic port. I imagine it’s plugging into the diagnostic port that can cause issues.
Real world... X15, MX13, d13, or DD15???

Since 2019 the RP1226 is the standard connector to interface with third-party devices. We had so many J1939 faults caused by poor installation of devices splicing into the datalink in random places. lol
Ssgtkevin, Elroythekid, Oxbow and 1 other person Thank this. -

Looking at this tomorrow, along with a cascadia, same mileage, no warranty, 19k cheaper.
2019 International LT625 - WARRANTY INCLUDED! | Heavy Trucks | Moncton | Kijiji -
This is my favorite. Low mileage, BUT, 23000 hrs. It ran an enclosed auto hauler. Truck is 2 days away and right now with xmas rush I cant get away to look at it. I still have a good rappor with the local volvo dealer, service mgr is an awesome dude, I sent him the vin and he said zero red flags he could find warranty wise, always serviced at the same dealer and serviced well.
I wish it was closer.

A friend bought one that was a moving truck, low mileagebut 22k hours. Has so far had great luck with it. Has 28 k hrs now, nothing major. -
I know this post is months old and you probably already made your decision, but I figured I would add my. 02. I have a 2018 Cummins X15 in my truck with 450hp/1750tq hooked up to an Eaton 10sp auto. To put it mildly, this truck is the reason I will NEVER buy another Cummins motor. I bought the truck in z June, 21 with 389k on it. I'm now at 523k miles. In that time, I have replaced the turbo twice, replaced the DPF, replaced the DOC, replaced nox sensors three times, new cylinder head, rebuilt cylinder 5, replaced the #5 injector, replaced the water pump, replaced the fuel pump, replaced the ECM, had two power steering leaks (one major, one minor), three separate coolant leaks, replaced the air dryer, replaced the fan clutch, replaced the throttle intake valve, replaced the fuel rail high pressure sensor, and I'm currently tracking down an electrical issue that's draining my batteries.
In short, I've dumped at least 100,000 in repairs into this truck in under 3 years. A Cummins will bankrupt you faster than any other engine on the market.Last edited: Apr 15, 2024

After 22 years. The mx motor so far is the only motor I've driven that just keeps on trucking. Almost a year now. And it has 650k.
The truck has had its quirks. But most of it I attribute to the eld that used to be plugged in. And bad batteries. It's not seeing the shop much these days. Other then a couple of flex pipes because it always needed a regen. -
There is a reason Cummins is Nick named cumapart. I wouldn't own one after the n14, was actually looking for an n14 when I got my current truck with the c15 but couldn't find one that was reasonably priced.
