Hi guys,
I am working on my 2012 kenworth t800 and lift/primer pump is not turning on. I checked relay (by swapping with working t800) and no go. Next I was trying to find the fuse for primer pump and can't find it anywhere on the driver side. My battery box doesn't have it either. I pulled the plug for primer pump and checked voltage with ignition on and nothing.
Something to mention, I have codes for boost pressure, water in fuel and egr/scr service required. Not sure if these are related.
Can someone point in right direction where to find this primer pump fuse or do I even have it?
I inherited this truck as part of the deal and it wasn't running, so trying to get it running. I am getting a strong crank, just can't get primer pump to turn on.

This might help as additional info:
- SN:954243

-18 speed manual
-tri-drive extended day cab
-Emmisions not deleted

I'm pretty sure you have one and I'm pretty sure it shares a circuit with the SCR system.
Look for a 10 AMP fuse (regular spade/blade/ATM style) in the harness, under the hood near the ECM and air compressor. It'll likely be in a fuse holder/covering, and it will likely be a red covering, or painted red.
I thought I posted this already- I came back out of curiosity for your progress, and didn't see it. Hopefully you're making progress! -
No worries. I looked everywhere for this fuse and it doesn't exist, which baffled me.
For the future, this priming pump is a part of emmisions control circuit. There is a regen button in the cab which I had on off. When I switched the button to middle position (but not to initiate regen) it activated the priming pump.
I started the truck no issues after the simple button switch.
Thanks to everyone who replied and hopefully this will help someone else.5UG Thanks this. -
I bet it will help! Who knew? I've learned something! If you think it's something simple and can't figure it out, think simpler, haha.
Thanks for the reply. Good to hear ya found it! -
