I was down here in newberry fl at a mine the company I work for owns, limerock that goes up to Jax for new road and parking lot construction. Had an interesting Thursday as the storms rolled in, old boy who leases on to us cut it a bit too short and about went over, and of course I was blocked in until they figured out the mess

 

I probably did just as much sitting around in landfills as I do with a reefer now “oh it takes forever to unload those” yea, sitting 6 hours in Seneca Meadows every day is sooo much better…

 

Tough week down here, truck went in to the shop Monday for kingpins and a hand full of other things, finally got it back Friday. Pulled a short dump Tuesday and Wednesday, then spotted some fertilizer trailers Thursday. Picked up the truck yesterday and headed back to jax to pre load zurik for Anniston, I’ll have to head out tomorrow with that, little too far to run up there comfortably Monday and give myself time to reload.

Don’t remember what hurricane it was but 2014ish I remember doing a load by the house at a landfill I had worked at previously, point her into the wind and go, one of the few times I was more worried about going over empty then loaded with ~40 ton in the wagon

 

There are days when its just best to stay home.
