You have to go to the DMV and get it renewed. Otherwise, I'm not sure what you're asking.

What he said. Renew it at your state DMV and self certify your med card.

Do you have a HazMat endorsement? Renewing it requires that you go through the TSA screening process again.

tscottme and M22 rockcrusher Thank this.

In several states, if you have HazMat and wish to let it expire you need to turn in your CDL, let the state remove HM endorsement & then re-issue a non-HM CDL. In these states, just doing nothing will cause you CDL to be downgraded on or before your HM expiration date.

Is this such a young driver that he never renewed his non-CDL license?

This is correct, as 26 year-old me found out the hard way.

Had to re-test and everything. Just no longer had a CDL, because I didn't do my hazmat in time. Not my favorite time in trucking. Lol
