If you want to poke around on that website you’ll see that B1 visas for Mexicans stays fairly consistent month to month, hovering in the 200-400 range 2017 to current.

Agreed that cabotage has been going on for years and it’s not just the companies down south. Plenty of companies from our neighbor to the north also do it.

 

So you are a bigot for stating the obvious that foreigners coming in from everywhere, not just Mexico, are a big factor in driving the rates down..

 

Umm.....this makes no sense. If you hire a Canadian, you have to pay all the Canadian benefits, plus you have to pay severance when you fire them. Costs carriers a good bit MORE. No, Canadian companies love running US-bound freight because fuel is cheaper here.

I don't see anything bigoted here. If you're describing a situation and the description is accurate it's a long way from being bigoted.

 

Not as much as you think. Interstating gets caught pretty quick up here. Not to say it doesn’t happen with the shady companies, but not near as bad as the southern border.

 

I see quite a few Canadian trucks with drill pipe loading in Houston and Louisiana heading North.
Pipe haulers here are starving but the rates are so low don't cover the costs.
