Nothing to scoff at; glaciers provide lots of fresh water
Though it is a lesser problem in Venezuela, glaciers are also an important source of water in other South American nations.
This will cause millions of people to head for our Southern Border.

The key phase is "in modern history".
It has happened before, it will happen again.
    With or without our help.

Yep, I get a chuckle every time the weather man reports a record high, record broke from 1850 or some such crapola. I remember science class in grade school. That was a few decades ago. The science said most of North America was covered by ice. Well guess what people. The temperature has been rising ever since then. I remember the report of several ice ages. 5 major one,

    From "History .com"
"At the height of the recent glaciation, the ice grew to more than 12,000 feet thick as sheets spread across Canada, Scandinavia, Russia and South America. Corresponding sea levels plunged more than 400 feet, while global temperatures dipped around 10 degrees Fahrenheit on average and up to 40 degrees in some areas. In North America, the region of the Gulf Coast states was dotted with the pine forests and prairie grasses that are today associated with the northern states and Canada."

Has human behavior affected the weather. Sure has. I doubt as much as the woke scientists claim. Plants need CO2 to live. We need the O2 plants make.
Read a report about sea rise a scientist claims the Ocean will only rise 2" total if all the Glaciers melt.
I guess in time we will all find out. Follow the money and you can get "facts" to support any argument.
I like clean air to breathe and do what I can to achieve that goal. But I am not going to live in a cave and walk to get around.

I feel carbon emission protesters should be certified. Exclude the products in their life they protest against. They must not use any carbon to live. Including electricity from the grid.
They must make their own power. Solar panels, windmill, water mill. Even though it took carbon energy to manufacture and deliver these items.
Not using carbon of any kind. Walk maybe ride a bike or horse. If they use a horse they have to grow the feed for the animal, not buy it.

See how many actually protest then. Zero.
Even if you limit protestors transportation to and from the protest site to non-carbon vehicles. I include no use of grid electricity. Zero protestors would show up.
What a crazy time we live in.
