Draft up an Agreement on what you like to obtain. Remember, as a leased on O/o you're still a business. A contractor can negotiate what they want and if that carrier actually cares to consider your worth and beneficial factors from your experience they will negotiate with you. If they brush you off, thats telling you who they are and you're probably saving yourself from financial distress.

25% is really high, especially since the carrier you want to lease on to doesn't own the trailer. 10% is more realistic.

I am not sure if that's a good deal, My company with the same condition takes 10% from gross but pays the same day from POD provided.Owners/Truck Lease terms, no need to run under our Authority.

Is jumping in now insanity, or when truck prices were through the roof and rates were unsustainably high? No matter when, there are always people saying now is a bad time to get in. I think now is a heck of a lot better than 2 years ago. That's two years less waiting for the market to improve. Its sink or swim and will teach you a lot more than when we were collecting hand over fist. 25% for doing Amazon loads, if that means you only pull Amazon trailers, youre definitely getting the short end of the stick, especially if they have you paying cargo insurance and ifta. However with low experience you may have to put up with it for a while. In my opinion, if you are doing power only pulling Amazon trailers and paying insurance etc, a good rate is 10-15%Dino soar Thanks this.
