MIAMI has a hiring freeze with most mega carriers unless u have the 6 to 1yr as u said. And for the small carriers u need to have at least 1 to 2 yr.

you need to change your domicile central Florida and up.

you can try k&b they called me back right after I already made the switch from miami.

I delivered in Fort Lauderdale yesterday, god bless you sir for having the patience to drive in that nightmare, let alone live there. Lifelong Florida resident and I’m ready to check out and head somewhere new, this isn’t the same Florida I grew up in, or started my career in, I’ll hit the 21 year mark in June, a lot has changed down here!

it hasn’t rubbed off I’m still used to it I’m only few months in. But yea 21 year mark, things have definitely shifted and changed since then. For every 1 person who leaves 10 comes in.

I’ll consider them after I make a year mark. I personally tried before and they declined me 2 months after applied, pretty sure for lack of experience.

I've lived in Florida and love the state. Moved to Nevada and it's great here; no traffic jams and extremely low humidity and no insect invasion in the home. Also no state income taxes and no taxes on food at the grocery stores.

fast forward now I cannot find a carrier that will take me. issues on my license was a suspension for not doing a breath test and that’s an automatic suspension in Florida in my personal vehicle before ever having a Cdl . I also got a reckless driving but all was 6 years ago. 1/2017

Applying for all these jobs the majority ask for no reckless in the past 5 or 6 years which I assume I should be good. But now I can’t get a carrier to pick me up to gain experience. I pulled my dac report and shows I was with Werner for 6/2021 to 9/2021 so when I fill out application I put those dates just to give off some experience . I have all endorsement (doubles triples, hazmat,tanker, twic passport)

Companies I’ve applied:

1. Prime (not hiring in my location)
2. Roehl (not hiring in my location)
3. Dot (dti) (denied my application)
4. May trucking (not hiring in my location)
5. Marten transport ( available in Tampa only and it would be shared truck) not to excited about that.
6. Schuster (hiring freeze in my area )
7. Abilene ( denied after pulling my file I saw the refuse breath on mvr) assumed that was the reason and no experience.
8. Freymiller ( I must have 6 months experience) I asked about their new driver program no response.
9. Us express/Variant ( pending waiting for response)
10. Indian river ( waiting for response)
Air gas ( waiting for response)

if anyone has another leads or decent recommendations on a company I’m looking to stay aboard for minimum a year so trying to get somewhere that’s half decent

I am currently having the same problem and I can not find anyway work at all I need help how do you get experience if no one give you a shot
