Is 22% idiling in ddec report good or not?

Something to consider is that idling % also includes traffic lights stopping in stop and go traffic sitting at a road entrance waiting for a gap in traffic etc etc ., I had drivers reward in ecm and was amazed I’d get some idling when I was strict about shutting truck off..

The app provides heat, cooling, and electrical power while the truck is off. My new truck has parksmartand opti idle, so I expect my idle time will triple, but should still be below 10%.
Now if we're talking about trucks with no apu/parksmart, then my thinking is different. But the higher the idle time, the more prevalent dpf issues. -
40% or more is considered less than optimal per Detroit. You also want to look at your average drive load. Above 30% is considered optimal.

Yes all that costs $$, but so does an engine rebuild.
