I'm curious... Who are you with or what are you doing currently driver?

 

Been on a dedicated account with JB since Jan 2019. This is the longest time I've ever spent at any job. Listening to hours of self help and philosophy audiobooks helped me to shift my perspective about my past actions.

 

I did the same thing. I started listening to Stoic Principles. I had time to reflect on how badly I was ####ing up in the past and even in the present. It also helped me keep my temper in check under bad situations. Even back recently at my current job.

 

Seneca The Younger is my favorite Stoic Philosopher. You've got to check out "Letters From A Stoic" and "On The Shortness of Life".

 

As soon as I'm back on a long shift, I sure as hell will.

 

Absolutely this!! We made this mistake about 8 months ago. Got approved and then got scared because of stupid people's reviews.

 

Are you still driving for PTL or did you go somewhere else?

 

We're actually working on transferring to PTL within the next week or two. My husband is the driver, I travel with him and help with all the other operations. We didn't go last year when he was approved in September so we went back to Artur Express but ready to give them a solid shot.

 

PTL is pure OTR. People who came in to trucking thinking it was 9-5 or cause no other industry was hiring them are mortified by OTR and the lifestyle of a truck driver...

Thus a pure OTR company is going to get bad reviews and day cab jobs have waiting lists...

 

And here the rest of us are happy sitting around twiddling our thumbs and not making dough!

Get used to it driver. I have been doing this over 40 years now, and trust me when I say, it is a part of the job...
