Leaving from West Palm at 4:15. Will be back at the truck by 7pm. My travel day is a no work day. I have to be in the truck and complete a 10 before getting dispatched. So I should be ready tomorrow morning at 0500. This is the 5th time I’ve flown home and back for hometime, to be quite honest, I like it, rested and ready to go. Plus a week off is rather nice everytime.

I always liked delivering to Walmart pulling a reefer or dry van when I had my truck. From my experience it was rare they took more than 2 hours on live unloads and the rates were good to excellent. I heard sometimes with produce deliveries it could take 4 hours or more but I never delivered produce at one.

Been a rather busy 4 days since getting back on the truck Monday. Tuesday was a Hagerstown Maryland, 652 miles. Wednesday came back to Murfreesboro 652 miles. Thursday was Lenexa Kansas 611 miles, today was Lenexa back to Murfreesboro. 611 miles. 2526 miles. Not bad for 4 days work and 526 bonus miles. But, I’ll be the first to say it, I’m wore out. Haven’t worked this hard since last December when I was still chasing miles at the other place.
MidWest_MacDaddy, hotrod1653, dwells40 and 8 others Thank this. -
I like going to our Hagerstown customer. It's a nice trip. I also like going to Winchester. Both are light loads, not like those 56k loads in a 20ft to Baltimore.

Mack E-6,
The traffic between Md. 4 and the base is ridiculous and heavy all day. It takes my son in law about 1 1/2 hours in the morning to go from near the Soloman Island Bridge to get thru the main gate. Not for me. -
Got sent over to the Humboldt hub yesterday morning. This is a hub that my contractor has a complete contract at. Every daycab and OTR truck here is his. Because of that, all the customers within 75 miles of the hub is his responsibility. So after bobtailing 175 miles, I spent the day doing drop and hooks throughout west central Tennessee. With the bobtail and the drop and hooks, I spent a total of 7:28 hours working. Was done at 7 last night. I have the same stops to do today. I’ll be working with the local drivers this whole week. I will say this, nothing beats getting lost in the backwoods of Tennessee. It’s such a relaxing peaceful work environment. Everyone I came in contact with is just as nice as can be. Even the local cops wave. If I could only talk the wife into selling the house and retire here.

Exactly what I did.
