Trucker Murdered

Smdh, in this day and age this is why i carry. Criminals are getting out of control and the police cant keep up anymore even where they arent defunded. May not be the best solution and if this guy was taken by suprise may not have helped him. But still.

 

R.I.P. Austin Winn. ALL drivers should be allowed to carry, especially in Texas. That's why I always carried my 45, never had to use it or show it but it sure was a nice piece of mind. That is until I got busted in the boothill of MO for carrying it. Random search and he just happened to look in my side box where I had it. Told me that if it wouldn't have been loaded that I wouldn't have gotten arrested... That was a $2k mistake for me, so I stopped carrying and for truckers that have to travel everywhere we should be able to carry something legally for self defense.

 

CCW permit fixes most of that. And if you go through states that still dont allow it such as IL. It still allows you to toss it in a secured box and legally transport it even if you cant use it. Even in IL i just drop my mag and lock it in the glove box and put the rest of the gun under my bunk in a secured box. Im legally allowed to transport it in a vehicle that way. Granted its not ideal if someone jumps you with a gun and yours is locked up but the name of the game is risk mitigation.

Save cali of course, but that place is a 3rd world country leaching off america run by idiots and is its own special brand of stupid so doesnt count. Only real issue you will run into is if you gotta go to a military base or a prison a lot. And besides a 2k fine is a tiny price to pay compared to your life.

I can get 2k pretty easily. Last i checked nobody has figured out respawns yet.

 

I carry everyday without a permit. The second amendment says I can. F local laws. it’s not like anyone would see it if they didn’t need too. I keep it on my person concealed not in a side box where it wouldn’t do you any good if you needed it. Always within arms reach.

I live in an area, that proves that to be true.

But i wonder how true it could be in a large population where people show little courtesy, concern or even regard to others. When people are hesitant to stop an attack of a person.
