That's what I've heard, but then again, it doesn't make sense because you can PC all you want during a 34 and nobody questions it. But get 5 hours of rest in, have to PC because the cop runs you off the side of the road, and your 10 hour break starts all over again because of 15 minutes of off duty driving? Its kinda nuts.

How long have you been driving? When you get inspection you going to be hurting. Or worse. Find a different job before your CDL gets trashed.

And that is all illegal use of PC because you were getting work done for the motor carrier (tank washout). AFAIK. Hell who knows?

My company recently told me I could take the truck to the truck wash on my 34 reset. Really?

Well depending on where you are, you're wasting drive time if you have "yard move" as an option.

I use yard move all the time. Anytime I’m in a secure facility.

From what I have heard the officer has a lot of discretion in the newish PC regs. I try to keep it simple. Safe haven or short trips on a 34 and return to original location.

There is no new regulations, there is only an advisory.

Wasn’t there a change when they changed the 30 minute break to include on duty?

    https://www.fmcsa.dot.gov/regulations/hours-service/personal-conveyance

"Personal conveyance is the movement of a commercial motor vehicle (CMV) for personal use while off-duty. A driver may record time operating a CMV for personal conveyance as off-duty only when the driver is relieved from work and all responsibility for performing work by the motor carrier. The CMV may be used for personal conveyance even if it is laden, since the load is not being transported for the commercial benefit of the motor carrier at that time. Personal conveyance does not reduce a driver’s or motor carrier’s responsibility to operate a CMV safely. Motor carriers can establish personal conveyance limitations either within the scope of, or more restrictive than, the guidance provided here.

Commuting between the driver’s terminal and his or her residence, between trailer-drop lots and the driver’s residence, and between work sites and his or her residence."
