Starting to get programmed like a Company Driver. I have to occasionally remind myself how I handled everything for almost 20 yrs. In Business longer than my current Boss. I was already Trucking when he was born. Last time I worked local was 1995. Everythings different. I feel like an immigrant in a foreign country. Probably put my Truck back to work eventually. Unless someone has $35-$40k to give me, Not running my own Authority again. Too much headache. Rather just focus on driving and maintaining my Truck. Meanwhile it’s costing me $150 per month for parking. Plenty of jobs available. None I want. Everyone complains how nobody wants to work. Problem is nobody wants to pay. Local hourly pay has gone up 50% in 30 years. Take home is approximately $400 more per week. Not just Trucking, None of the jobs are worth a crap. No wonder everyone’s hiring.

 

Im glad you didn’t sell it and never say never on your own authority. Running under someone else probably wouldn’t suit you either.

I’ve been aggressively hiring and can tell the market is soft just in that aspect. Currently have 14 drivers and still need one more. Keeping one truck as a backup for good measure. No point in selling trucks as we bring in new ones since you can’t get anything for them. Makes me happy we serviced these so frequently so that now I can depend on them past what I intended to keep them.

No, haven’t bothered. The curiosity is killing me. Other priorities right now. Trucks the last on my list.

Well, I got empty down here this morning. I’m gonna run this back-and-forth to the buckeye to see what the hype is all about.
Empty so it’ll be a nice easy ride.

 

So many people struggling in this industry and you’re out there showing off and throwing money around. Lol.
