Someone(not my truck) received OOS inspection on my company

No but I'm sure you're not the first. Keep us posted on this as it can happen to anybody at anytime the way fraud is running rampant through the industry these days.

 

DATA Q the inspection. If not yours it will be removed.

Fill out the form and upload copies of your "one and only" registration and, if possible, a copy of the log/bill showing you were definitely somewhere else.

They will remove it.

Since it goes back to the originating office it may put them on the lookout for the gypsy hotshot.
Once they update the system they should associate this with the hotshot's license number and the next time your DOT number comes up....

 

Wonder if something like this could happen just by the officer fat fingering the keyboard.

 

More than likely. They go by the number, not the name. Have had it happen before, driver turned it in but the # was wrong.

No, I wouldn’t chance it either. Personally I’d have been on the phone with the state DOT to try getting to the bottom of it..then Data-Q.

Maybe I’m just naive but, I just don’t see how one could make it through an inspection trying to use someone else’s credentials. I’m quite sure that the officer turned the hot shot guy inside and out.
I do understand how easy it would be to book loads and roll with someone else’s numbers scotch taped to your truck. I just feel that an inspection would mean game over.

Call me skeptical about it being a fraud.
