Boy ain't that the truth. I bought the same antenna, man that thing looked incredible, couldn't get the SWRs below 4:1. Had to return it and get one with just a coil. That lasted until I tried to change trucks with it and broke the base trying to unscrew the #### thing.

I've found this simple one has given me the best performance for decades. That style, a simple center loaded antenna, nothing fancy. The antenna "thinks" its 102" long because it technically is, just not sticking straight up where it could hit something. This is the only antenna I was able to achieve a perfect 1:1 SWR with. 25 bucks you can't beat it with a stick.

Well if a # of different antenna dont tune and only a cheaper one does,that would tell me that something is up and not that the cheaper ant is better..
