Hi, I live in western NY and i have a FAST pass. A couple months ago i had a bad week and got a logbook not current ticket and a speeding ticket(both with no points on my mvr).

Another driver i know said he heard that logbook violations are treated different in canada, and that with that on my record, they would refuse me entry, because supposedly logbook violations are felonies in canada. is this true, or more cb bull?

IMHO, if it is NOT on your MVR then they would not be aware of the violation. However; if it was a violation, then it would reflect on you MVR...Have a new MVR pulled from the DMV to see for yourself what is on it.

    Best of Luck!!!!!!!!

Ah ... no, logbook violations are not the equivalent of a felony in Canada and would not be grounds for refusal of entry.

i have had log book violations and cross the border on a regular bases. the only time it might bother you is if you were taken in to custody (arrested) so come on up and enjoy.

its bull log book violations in canada are like paking tickets but im not sure about ontario i got a failure to keep a log book some 10 years ago and the dumb ### dot in cochrane on. copied my pages as evidence to doing a log book hell he made may case. and i was found guilty never paid it. i sometimes get a collection agency wanting the money 3 to 4 times the original amount, im not worried federal law is 5 years max every where else except ontario
