Ok. I don't respond to that. I'm looking for mature answers. I been in this industry for 20+ years. I don't know everything but I do know majority of carriers and Brokers require that.

If you are leased onto a carrier, why do YOU have to foot the insurance? That should be on their dime.

So I don't have to drive their governor speed. If I use theirs I get what their insurance only has to offer. Including their set speed limiters and well as their basic plan.

I get my own I get what speed I want. Plus I have other options in case, god forbid, my truck breaks down.

Now, I know I said speed. I'm not driving like a bat out of hell but I would on occasions like to pass up slow 4 wheelers.

Do you mean that they charge you for the liability or you bought it on your own?

I bought all insurance on my own. I didn't like what the carrier had to offer on their insurance

If you're leased to them, you have to be on their liability policy. Sounds like a pretty shady place.

That’s what I have been thinking, if so he’s being bent over.

I can see maybe a general liability policy being required on top of his bobtail/non trucking liability insurance.
