    This.
Take a page out of the “Buc-ees” playbook!
The only 4 wheelers allowed are for the staff that work there!
Too many of these “travel centers” cater more to 4 wheelers than they do to truck drivers!!

Excellent idea, especially for those who use CPAP machines that require distilled water!

Can you tell me more about the experience of obtaining and using a CPAP machine?

The kind that offers warm hospitality via friendly, competent staff, and the kind that offers wholesome food, well prepared, akin to home cooked meals. . . That's probably asking too much though, eh?

More showers in truck stops. Having 150 parking spots and 5 showers where 2 are out of service is simply unacceptable. The shower line got over 3 hours long the other night.

I'm just curious. I'm certainly not kicking you around & we would all appreciate any assistance with the suggestions mentioned here.

But, we get someone new about every six months coming here with the same spill. "What would you like to see at truck stops to help make your experience better?"
Again, I will reiterate, I am not condemning the idea of making truck stops ..... just that again.. A truck stop for truck drivers.

You can use the search feature and find a dozen or more of these threads with someone "doing a project" to help truck stops more trucker friendly. Its the same answers that's been given for years & nothing has changed for the better. Nothing has improved in the way of any replies, that have improved truck stops to benefit truckers.

Can I ask for whom you are doing this "project" or what power you have to get these things changed... or what position you are in to believe that you can get any of this changed? Are you working on this for Elon Musk or some other billionaire or a fortune 500 company in that what you gather here will actually make a difference?

I mean, & for a 3rd time, I aint kicking you around. We'd be VERY glad to have someone heed our suggestions, but so far, for as many threads as I can remember, its been nothing more than adding another thread to the forum.
I am just curious what "project" you're working on & for whom, that will REALLY make a difference?

Assuming this is an honest question: And I'm not convinced it is:
In general, higher standards. But we could start with a proper application of soap and water in a timely fashion with the help of a specialized cleaning solution beyond soap/water. There's an idea. Perhaps a product that really tackles mold and mildew. A fresh scent with no mold and mildew would be a nice benchmark. I suppose the word "clean" is subjective, but I'm pretty sure we all know what the assignment is if the objective is "clean showers." (And restrooms.)

I would focus on the theme: hospitality. That's where the emphasis should be across the board at any truck stop. Higher standards, smart hiring and proper training would be a good place to start making improvements.

I totally understand the frustration. Some of these suggestions unfortunately cannot be fixed other than at new locations (parking space increase suggestions) or things like sit down restaurants are just not feasible. While things like cleaner showers, healthier food options can be. I am working on a project consulting with a fortune 500 company and will potentially be able to implement a couple suggestions.
