Schneider's lost like 30% of it's value. What does this do to it's ROI?

An aquintance of mine, one truck owner with his own numbers, says he ain't filing 2290 this time, not untill absolutely close to IRP renewal, which is when he'll decide if he wants to carry on. After I asked him if it was that bad that he would not have $550, he said, no but he does it in protest as anyone else in this business makes money but owner operators. Seeing that the first post of this thread was a while back, and that is still going, it has been quite a while now, hasn't it?
-
Just think how different this industry would be if there were no factoring or quick pay and you had to pony up $10k to get operating authority.

I think that too many fell into the owner operator trap lured by get rich fast fairytales instead of solidifying their careers at specilized, local, ethically sound businesses. Social media does not always help in seeing things from a real perspective. I think this thread helps to cool off someone's enthusiasm for now but as soon as they start paying just a little better, it'll likely be replaced by another one saying how the rates went up to the moon and fuel prices don't even matter.Magoo1968, Deere hunter, Midwest Trucker and 1 other person Thank this.
