I don't know about la, but I'm ca once I was trying to pass a mh that would do 57 when I was behind then speed up to 66 when I tried to pass (which was my governed speed) had only so long to be up in seattle and then BC. Cop pulled me over (after I passed the MH) and wrote me for being in the left of lane. I was a little pissed so I said take me in, I ain't signing nothing. Fortunately he called in others and this one officer came up and the talked to me and explained that I could write a letter to the judge explaining what happened. Which is what I did, and the court Said to just pay their costs ($50) and nothing would show on my cdl. And that's what I did and nothing showed up. I wished I could remember that officers name, because he surely saved me from a big headache!! So you maybe could write the judge or the courts a letter explaining your situation. You never know...

    Thank you for the input.
It was the Bossier parish sheriffs office.
He told me to take the Swan Rd. Exit which is right where the construction starts. From there I went to the 220 bypass. He said even if they don’t stop you, the ticket still goes in the mail. Only bobtails are allowed.

To be honest it’s a combination of cash grab and engineers failure to make a safe route in the construction zone… I guess semis were allowed there at first, however the way road is slanted and curved was not safe and it caused accidents that’s why they hung up detour signs… we had same crap in ####Cago where right lane in construction area was curved and slanted making dry vans and and reefers scratch light poles since there’s no shoulder and road is so narrow.

I’m glad I ignored my truck gps yesterday. It was insisting I stay on i20 through there. I saw multiple signs, at least one flashing. I took the exit & it rerouted.

I was going to suggest the OP get an eye test but I think you covered the points more eloquently. Truckers should read those signs they are going by, it just might be something important.

Spend thousands of dollars for fines and attorney's fees, just to save 10 minutes of time and a gallon of fuel????
