Truck stops with good food

Yeah. it's called eating at home.lol. After 34 years in the road before retiring in Nov of 22'. Most all restaurants have been closed, removed and fat food places have taken their place. There are only a few that have restaurants in them anymore. Seems the Punjab's are taking over in the travel plaza industry. I do not eat camel cakes, goat balls, and such. Fake ### Covid 19 put a lot of restaurants out of business. Trucking ain't what is was many years ago

Google Maps. Boise Sage Stop south of Boise, Idaho on EB-84 is the best food I've seen. But I only run Idaho, UT and Northern NV. I usually use leftover from home in the microwave. And for quick bites I prefer Maverick stores where I fuel. Better food than most truck stops and cheaper fuel.

 

Just to clarify. I believe you meant Boise STAGE Stop at exit 71 because there is a Sage Travel Plaza west of Boise in Caldwell at exit 29.

 

Yes my typo bad. Stage is the one. I have tried Sage in Caldwell. Thanks for clarifying. My link on Maps should be good though.

 

Maybe I’m misremembering but is/was that place decked out in Red Sox stuff?

 

Probably so being that close to Boston.

Visited this fine establishment today. There's a hot deli inside that serves a few basic items. Among them are biscuits and gravy and a BLT. The bacon wasn't the greatest, but the service and biscuits and gravy were purty good.

Only problem was highway 49. Up to Magee was ok, after thar, nothing but stop lights and stopped traffic until you hit I-20 in Jackson.

For some reason, Google maps has the Love's across the highway as a gas station only. This is not correct.
