Not a very good job of hiding it. Maybe some yellow Doller General bags would have been sneakier

Sometimes It makes you wonder on the easy out in the open “busts” like this if it isn’t a fake setup so these dirty south counties can look like they continue to earn their worth and get their law enforcement funding.

Just wondering. Is there a Federal, State, or local law that says a person is required to deposit their money in a Bank? And is there a law that states any amount of money over a certain amount carried by a person automatically is drug related?

If i understand it correctly , its illegal to travel with more than 10K , idk how much you're allowed to keep in a safe or if there is even a limit .

I do know that if you’re traveling outside of the U.S. or traveling back in any monies $10,000 and up is required to be reported and declared with Customs, otherwise it’s subject to seizure.
    Money and Other Monetary Instruments.
Now as far as between states themselves there’s no limit. However,be prepared to ask a lot of questions with TSA or other agencies.

Its a big risk , because a county can seize it then you have to go thru federal court to get it back , because the state turns it over to the feds . Loose 15k in seizure cost 25k to get it back . Can search google for former FBI agent got a good bit of money seized at a checkpoint or trafficstop idk , took him for ever to get it back

You can travel with any amount of cash you want in the US, but the problem right now is there is a thing called Civil Asset Forfeiture. It's an absolutely disgraceful law that allows the police to take your money with no charges of any crime. They just take it and you have to spend at minimum $10,000 of whatever money you have left to get it back, while being out that original $10,000+ because there's no fee shifting statute for these things.

There have been innumerable articles written on the subject, but it's still supported by law makers because sometimes it impacts actual criminals. Completely bypassing the 4th amendment.

People are dumb. They become overwhelmed by greed and impatience.

For shipping between two U.S. addresses, I would have boxed up whatever amount FedEx will insure, and insure the sent box.

Not all at once. Bit by bit over time.

Sure beats losing half a million in a single seizure.
