Factory warranty on Cummins X15?

Well Detroit charged me 380 something if I remember right. Wasn’t a grand. Of course I installed it myself because it’s basically an oxygen sensor and it took 5 minutes

 

I always get the engine warranty but nothing else. 5 yr 500k tho.

 

I’d say that engine and aftertreatment warranty would be worth it in your use case (<50k miles/yr).

 

I am, but my point still stands. If their own product, namely their own engines that they make the most profit on and which you would assume they would baby to get more people to pick are so bad on repairs....even under warranty....why would the other choice not be as bad or likely worse?
