Good advise here. But sooner or later you'll realize that you now own two of everything. Because you needed or wanted 'this' but it's at home so you buy one on the road. Might take awhile, but I'm sure you'll come to realize you now have two of everything. What helped me out was to make a list of whatever it was I was thinking about while driving, or stuck somewhere. Then when I got home the first priority was to make sure my list got done. You'll be an expert list maker in no time. Good luck and keep your head on a swivel out there! Situational awareness helps keep you safe out there.

Have a good credit card or two. Some person was complaining on here recently about not having any money to buy food while working over the road. I don't think it's a matter of not having money but rather having incredibly poor planning because unless you have absolutely ruined your credit you should be able to obtain at least one credit card that you can use for emergency purposes at the very least.
