WY-22 Teton Pass Hwy Closed Indeinitely

Holy crap! Almost took it WB awhile back. It was in the 50's in Jackson and cloudy so I decided to go around.

Dahm the regrets. Glad nobody was on it when that happened.

 

There’s a page I follow on Instagram that has a ton of videos of guys getting busted going that way because they ignore the signs. There’s also a ton of hot shot guys that get busted up there in the snow when it’s closed to towing vehicles.

 

I was thinking there was a 60k weight limit for trucks? Thought I saw it on a sign where you turn in Jackson. Never checked the atlas

 

Correct. I’m not sure about Jackson but coming out of Idaho there are sensors and lights go off if you’re over 60k.

 

Gotcha. I thought maybe I was thinking of somewhere else. I was empty coming out of Jackson and wanted to do it, but didn't want to hit snow being empty with those grades.

 

And it’s open again. 3 weeks to do this. Just proves how fast projects can get done when there is tourism dollars at stake. Lol.
