I don't believe anyone is (happy) about 90 days. But, I have nobody bidding against me on this customer and it pays half again more than some of my other customers for same job.
Rates are crashing and fuel to the moon!

Former boss got hammered in 08/09 because many of his 90 day customers started paying late or not at all because they were trying to survive the downturn like everybody else . He was just under 4 mill on collections at one point it put a hurt on him . When it was all said and done he lost almost half a mill due to bankruptcy of a few customers. He never missed a pay check or our settlements though even if he had to pull money out of his other businesses.
Constant Learner, Iamoverit, Siinman and 8 others Thank this. -
Quicker the better of course. I’m just saying what my experience has been. I used to be hell bent on 30 days but anymore certain opportunities it just isn’t going to happen.
Kindof like the guy on here the other week that couldn’t find customers because none wanted to talk to his lawyer about getting setup so they had the privilege of using him as a carrier. You have to stand out on service and make their job easier. Being a pain in the butt doesn’t get you very far and being “special” on a large companies pay system isn’t taken to kindly.Short Fuse EOD, Siinman, Deere hunter and 5 others Thank this. -

$600 a day and you think you're making money?
A good company guy would make $650 plus on that load and no expenses.

Where can a company driver make 3250 a week? 160,000 a year?

Eh if it’s within 150 miles of the house and I could park the truck there do something else for the dayit wouldn’t be the end of the world, no way I’d sit in a truck stop for that thoughOpendeckin, Siinman and Oxbow Thank this.
