It was actually a good school, but I came in with a permit so I skipped all the "ground school" and went straight to driving. It was Coastal in Opelousas, LA. Their reviews on google are not great, but not for that reason. I doubt that anyone that was there when I was there is still there, nor any of their trucks. I saw they have newer Cascadias and such now. When I was there besides an 08 Volvo, they had very very old junky trucks.

I hate to tell you but when you have 4 students in a truck, the 2 in the back are not going to have seatbelts. But the truck doesn't move fast or for long. Just local jaunts trying to learn how to shift.

It's always better to test the waters first before making a knee jerk reaction. New drivers don't have the leverage they did 3 or 4 years ago. It's become an experienced drivers market. I think you would have done better to talk with the higher ups and see if you could have got a better situation for your training. If it were me, I'd actually call CR and see if I could get my job back. You need to get some experience by any means necessary. New drivers are very limited in their choices these days, and it looks like it will be that way for the foreseeable future.
