I have too. Virginia got me because my inner bridge was 1 foot shorter than the permit stated.

CA used to have the same policy. Permit not 100% accurate, everything beyond legal gets fine. Of course, I never got cau, er was always legal on permits……

That was a good challenge. If anything, the officer should have issued all the citations against the non-certified pilot vehicle and/or the pilot car company for not making sure the services your company paid for, were properly provided, which were that they violated the permit requirements and their own licensing requirements.
