Yeah, I was the one out there that when you passed me and heard the thumping you said to yourself 'frickin hippie!' LoL

 

What world do you live in where hippies are known for obnoxiously loud music?
Patchouli n pot, sure
Peace love n blah blah, sure
But fleetwood mac is pretty tame on the "thumping" compared to even country music

Even Bach could give any of the hippie bands a good run for their money on how good it sounds when listened to at high volume.

 

I was quoting from when I went thru trucking school in 1989, and the good old boys that were teaching the courses said one night "I'll bet if we go out in the parking lot and if your radio is on country music-you'd pass this course. If it's on rock n roll-well sorry but you failed" that's the world I came from, FYI

 

Hippies =/= rock n roll, thus my confusion

Well I learned two things tonite! ......my bad and Thank You for letting me know what that meant.
Peace Love and Happiness for me ! And I sometimes think old TV shows like Gunsmoke and Bonanza along with classic old Rock and Roll raised me. I never did any of the sit-ins , or love-ins, tried to like pot but just didn't , I knew hippies were all about natural , and I was bleaching my hair and wearing false eyelashes. But I love rock and roll , just today i love other kinds of music as well but rock and roll is me. Today I think most people are country and western but have added some rock and grunge , alternative, etc.
The way I remember it is Hippies = Rock and Roll. I was going to Canned Heat and Led Zeppelin, tons more concerts , my Dad would drive us because none of my friends could drive yet. Life is good ...no matter what.
