If you're driving OTR I don't think it's a bad idea, however I have a sensitive stomach. Just last week I got hit with diarrea while driving and couldn't make it to the rest area in time. Ended up taking a dump in the forest, good thing it was night.

Had a few instances in the last 7 or so years, maybe I've just been unlucky. Never took a dump in the truck though.

    All about your personal preference.

Some companies say you're not even allowed to have a bucket on the truck. The D-head who made up that rule has never been stuck in traffic when you're about to explode.

I had to log back in for this one, besides, hopefully by now REO has forgiven me, and I'm just plumb bored. Hi all...:hello2:
True story, get your vomit bag ready,,,many years ago, I worked with a guy that used to be a manager at a truck repair shop. I'll spare the details on who was actually driving the truck, um, let's say, 2 guys from far away, they came in for something minor, the manager says "pull it in, we'll take a look". Right away, the manager knew something was wrong, get this, the whole underside from the sleeper back was inundated with waste. Apparently, these guys cut a hole in the floor and, um, used it. That was about the most disgusting story I've heard
Back to the OP, crapping in a bag is really pretty bad, I did that when a friends septic system failed. If you have that much of a problem, perhaps a new diet or medical advice, but with so many travel centers, it shouldn't be a problem. I've seen trucks with little bathrooms and a holding tank, would be a better option.
Oh, one more thing, you know that ad for some medication shows the guy sitting on a toilet behind the wheel, I always thought that would be a good idea,,:laughing-guffaw:
