No different than most other manufacturers. Just living off their legacy these days.

The farmers have zero worries. Our government will just increase the subsidies, at tax payers’ expense. They’ll still be buying equipment, pickup trucks, building new sheds, buying vacation homes/retirement homes/houses-in-town. Anyone who thinks farmers will be hurting have no idea the kind of money the big boys are playing with. 75% of corporate farms in this country receive subsidies, despite their already massive profits and monopolies. What’s worse is subsidies are nearly 1/4 of the farm industry’s net profits. Imagine if owner-operators could receive a 25% boost in their profits, without doing a single thing to earn it.

    In 2023:
    •foreign aid was $66B.
    •space was $73B.
    •military was $820B.
    •farm subsidies were $12.6B.
    •wind/solar was $15B.
•EV is difficult to determine because part of the subsidy is tax breaks(IRS), part is grants(free money), and part is infrastructure buildout. But, it’s well over $1T.
    •welfare was $1.1T.

Some of the numbers are staggering, to be sure. I’d argue, transportation is more important than all of those, except farming, yet, our industry won’t see a dime.

What's staggering is the amount of money we spend on other countries. Think about how that money could benefit our citizens.

Just be glad it’s not happening in the trucking industry yet. at least on the farming side it’s done wonders for the big dogs and made it that much harder to be a little guy…
