Moral of the story is don’t stay out of this industry for more than a year or you have to start over. I still subscribe to the idea that it’s a conspiracy to keep truckers trapped in this industry. This guy is going to get out there and by the second or third day it’s just like riding a bike and it will all come back to him. Yet they’re making him go through training like a newbie. When you’ve driven a truck for over a decade over the road, that’s ingrained in your DNA for life.
