I've been at OD 11 years and what you just described is nothing like my experience here. It's by far the most laid back easiest job I've ever had. I've been driving 27yrs and I wish I'd started here from day one.

I'm at the 2nd largest terminal in the country and we have hired plenty of guys straight out of school for P&D. If they are willing to interview you knowing you don't have much experience then you've got a good chance to get the job. They wouldn't be wasting their time with the interview if they weren't interested in you. I got my son on here at 18yrs old and he went through our dock to driver program when he turned 21. He's been a P&D driver from day one out of the class. He loves it here and has been a driver now for 5yrs. I'm a linehaul driver myself because I'm to old and lazy to do P&D! If you have any questions shoot me a message. Good luck!

Seems like it depends on what terminal you're at and how management runs things.

Did my road test for ODFL with the driver trainer, he said I did a good job just need to get better at shifting which obviously I will get better at with time, TM said he still has some more interviews to do, wondering what my chances are of being hired.

Hopefully you're good if you did the road test. Did they give you a dot card?
