Ionic Lithium 12V Group 31 3000 CA LiFePO4 Heavy Duty Battery

So I got to update a little bit on the new batteries I installed. Yesterday I had a lot of extra time after I delivered my load. Ended up stopping at around 4 PM and did not leave until next day at around 10 AM. It was around 90 yesterday in WA when I stopped and not sure what temp was throughout the night. But anyways I had the following running the whole time: Fridge, Fan, A/C Full blast, Radio and a few small items like TV and Computer off and on during the afternoon. My battery bank in my EPU 4 AGM batteries that are 3 years old finally gave out at about 9AM. My new Starter batteries (2) still had around 25 percent left in them. So I started the truck for 30 minutes to charge up the EPU batteries long enough to let the sleeper stuff work the wrest of the couple hours.

In the past I would had started the truck at least 3 times for this amount of use. I am shocked how good these batteries. I had thought about adding a 3rd battery but don't think I will after seeing how well this worked. I rarely have to set much longer than my ten so not a big deal. Tomorrow I will not have much drive time since I will be running on recaps. So will test again tomorrow how they do with maybe watching some football.

 

I would do like I did. Use the two as starting batteries and use your AGMs for your EPU set up. Seems to work very good. I have been very impressed with this set up.

 

Nothing was changed when I installed the two Starting LifePO batteries. I took out the 4 old AGM batteries and replaced them with two of these. They are in the same place as the AGM's underneath the driver side door on my truck. The batteries are held in place and do not move at all so will not have an issue on that.

So far batteries are still acting like they did when I first got them. Still amazed at how good these work. If looking to use batteries for EPU I would go with a different battery that is a little cheaper.

My EPU runs off of Starting batteries and also the battery bank for EPU. This was the main reason I went to these new batteries for starting. They hold a charge longer and gives the same power through out the use. When I had AGM batteries it would slowly turn my AC and Fan down as the batteries ran down. Now I have full power the whole time.

If your system is the same then you may want to do like I did then. I thought that system was separated from starting batteries so that is why I said I would change to them.

 

MY AGM's was starting to wear down but still have plenty of power left. One might be going bad but I have not tested it yet. I just charged them all up and put them away until my EPU batteries need changed. I will most likely just throw those in and use them up to get my moneys worth out of them.

I figure since I am a gambling man and blow money left and right on that stupid stuff I could afford to throw away a little money on these if they dont work. At least I would know since I have been driving myself nuts looking up everything posable about them. Ha Ha

So far super happy I went this route. Did 12 hours the other day in 90-100 Degree weather and used just at 50 percent on both of them. The whole time AC was blowing at top speed the whole time with Fan running none stop as well. Can't remember if I had my fridge on or not. I don't always use it and use it less during the summer it seems. Winter time I don't mind cooking as much so I stock it more.
