Why don’t you just admit that you were wrong. There is NO law saying a vehicle has to be inspected after repairs have been made. There is NO law saying a person isn’t allowed to work on their own property. There is NO law saying you have to have a license or even a certificate to work on a class 8 truck. You are incorrect with your thoughts.

Isn't that [the required experience] a bunch of hoops?
And according to that paper only a Motor Carrier can certify. -
Then how do shops certify? They are not motor carriers?Deere hunter, Oxbow and Dave_in_AZ Thank this.

Just turn your device sideways and set to landscape view.Oxbow and ElmerFudpucker Thank this.

No that doesn’t. That has nothing at all to do with say a water pump replacement or say rebuilding a motor or a transmission or spring pins and bushings. Mechanics do a lot more than inspect and service brakes.Rideandrepair, exhausted379, Dave_in_AZ and 1 other person Thank this.

I guess they just print out a paper that says so.
There's no process to go through or hoops to jump I'M sure.

Well maybe the government will crack down on all these unlicensed shops changing brakes out. Oh wait. The fmcsa doesn’t have the authority to regulate shops or mechanics. Hmmm!Rideandrepair, exhausted379, Oxbow and 1 other person Thank this.
