Just seen a post on the blog. mercer is selling 4" straps for $10 and if you trade a used bad strap $8. An incentive to keep good equipment on our loads. I think it is a leadership move and is great.

 

I need to get a few when I drive by Louisville the next time.

 

Hi! Do you folks know where to get set up with headache racks and boxes? The salesman at Arrow said he would get it third party and install it for me and put it on top of the cost of the truck. Not sure if he really can get it or is just talking, let alone something decent.

Thanks for your input. Where is 'east' located and how much did it run you (what model)?

Is it simply a matter of U-bolts to the frame with the proper amount of torque?

Do a search on Google for East Manufacturing Corp then look for Cab Protector under Accessory section. There's a dealer locater there as well.

 

I cant remember exactly what model I bought but it ran me roughtly $750. they are located in Randolph Ohio, I live about 2 hours from them so I just drove out there and bought it direct.

I had a friend help me lift into place on the truck. then lay down 2 rubber strips where it sits on the frame rail and install 2 u-bolts on each side and you are done!

 

Depending on where you are located and if you can pick one up contact Dan the Terminal Manager at Thomah Wisconsin for J & R Schugal Trucking. (Do a google search) They just shut down there flatbed division and are selling off all there equipment dirt cheap. (chains, binders, coil racks, straps, lumber & steel tarps ect.. I picked up a like new rack with center storage box and the u bolts for 400 bucks. They also had side boxes.

 

If your around Jackson GA, ( exit 201, I 75) I'll sell you a Merritt, 2 chain racks with locks, top mounted tarp tray, 2 utility lights mounted, bottom frame tray, coil rack bracket and 4 stake pipe rack. Needs a little welding repair, but for $250.00, can you go wrong???? listed for $1300 new
