It don't matter which side of the political spectrum one identifies with. People of both sides do it. Some wanna shove religion, others wanna shove pride. Those are just examples. It's all about ethics and etiquette. My thinking trends left, but I don't tell people how they should live their lives. I believe in liberation for all. People should live how they please, just don't hurt anybody. The problem is that everyone has an opinion; however, they never know when it's appropriate to share it, or keep it to themselves. More often than not, opinions are irrelevant.

There was good advice offered. It was acknowledged too. OP did say he had a plan in place if he couldn't take his son.....somehow that got overlooked.

To update for inquiring drivers on Benny Whitehead; Benny passed away about 2022. The company still busy as they haul mostly frozen. They run teams to California and back-not all over the US, and yes, the trucks run about 64 mph. The equipment is nice and they are in southeast Alabama with a shop and yard there. As of October 2024 they have no open positions- full. They have more new trucks on the way in a couple months for more drivers. Not the highest paying (most Alabama companies are behind in pay) due to location in the South. There are a few rude people there but overall ok if you don't do wrong anywhere as a driver. Heard about some drivers docked pay for some things. Do have some solo positions at times.

I remembered a recruiter came from there. Many people in my class didn't care for the company.
