Say ... some of yall wannabe tanker yankers ... how about coming down to Charlotte and give us a hand ... they're killing us. The terminal just started hauling whole loads of ethanol last week and we don't have enough people to handle all our customers and do the ethanol also. I'm supposed to work Saturday night ... but the way my log book is looking now ... I probably wont have but about 5 hours after Friday night. We had a few drivers come here from other terminals to help with the overload ... but we are still in dire need of some relief ......... sooooooooooo come on down ... put your feet up ... take your shoes off ... and sit a spell ... while you hold that steering wheel.

Thank you Smokeymac. Eagle needs me to get a twic card and florida does not. The bad part is I just left for a few weeks.

Just curious, John are thet hiring down in Charlotte? I'm thinking about switching over to tanker divisions.
-
Are they hiring??? It's so bad we are pulling people from other terminals to help with overload ... I'm not in personnel ... but ... yeah ... sounds like a hiring situation to me ... you can put in an application on line, or call our TM at Charlotte or even call Ronnie Thomas at corporate HQ ... I can only tell you this ... we are swamped!

Like I said Florda Rock is a fine company I'd say go for it. Who ever you choose to go with though I would strongly recommend getting a Twic card. Even thogh Florida Rock doesn't require a TWIC card in your area, the work might dry up in your area ant they might want you to work in an other area to the work comes back. For example up in Johns terminal they lost a contract to Keenan and the drivers where starven. Now all of a sudden they picked up a custumer and they are pulling drivers in from other terminals. Some loading terminal require it and some don't. Good luck

Now that our rookies have gotten out on there own the work load has balanced out to just right. I am going to use theese couple weeks till the kidddies get out of school and the Grizzwalds start going on vacation to recharge my batteries. I am sure we will be swamped again in a few weeks. Still can't get done early enough to get to the bar, I am starting to dehydriate. I had a fighting chance at it Wednsday night but got some new sneakers on my trailer and didn't get started till 1900 hours

Called tm today but he had already left for the day ill call back Monday and see if I can't set up a time to meet with him some time next week.
