I'm thinking of doing a ride along project to get a taste of life on the road. :smt023 ...Getting a break from grad school the summer, and what a better chance to plan a ride along.make something positive out of it.
What are your guys' layovers like... between sleep time, awake, and do you plan them much in advance?
What's the longest you usually drive at a time?
How do you keep your driving state of mind if there;s such a thing. or how do you keep awake for that matter....
What are the major rest, hubs you prefer out west to connect to other routes if I were to ride along?
I'd like to hear anything you have to say...
Thanks..........

Major hubs: Barstow/Sacramento/Flagstaff/Denver/Phoenix. Get plenty of sleep to stay awake. A lot of it is needing to be able to go with the flow and adapt easily. Have you investigated about riding along? It sounds like you think you can just hop on board any truck and head out and get off whenever you like. Not so, my friend. You would actually have to Hitchike and be very vulnerable.
Axelhn Thanks this. -
