Ya, things are still pretty out of our normal for sure.
Last two weekends I had plenty of time to get to my Monday morning appointments but fell a few hours short to get in a reset for the coming week and still make appointments on time.
So I’ve been slow rolling it a bit over the weekends (which I admit is almost better than a 34 OTR) and then hitting a 34 midweek or hitting recaps.
Taking a few days off the beginning of next week to visit my mom for her Birthday so it will be nice to get out of this truck for a bit.

I agree @MidWest_MacDaddy
My loads have be JUSSSST close enough to where I could do a 34, but then one traffic jam could mess it all up and not make it worth it. Plus I like my 8hr days

I thought I drew a short straw having to load at AB in STL today but then I got a level 2 inspection about 3 blocks from AB and when I got here I got assigned to door 27 and had to blindside between two trucks. And now I’m getting detention pay. It’s been a doozie of a day.
MidWest_MacDaddy, Knucklehead, motocross25 and 7 others Thank this. -
Same story as far as I know with the Macks, Kenworths, and Petes. We do have some of each but they are all assigned with no plans to get more.M22 rockcrusher Thanks this.

I'm not super impressed with this Next gen T680. Build quality isn't great. The prior version wasn't awesome to begin with, but this one is just kind of a turd. Mechanically it's been fine, but it squeaks and rattles, and my dash loses my preferences all the time.MidWest_MacDaddy and DonRobbie Thank this.

Last time I went to AB I got popped for an inspection too. They love that area.MidWest_MacDaddy Thanks this.

Started at the Speedway truck stop in London OH, went to Lockbourne OH for a live load and made it to Belton MO with 4 minutes left of drive time. Upon arrival a fellow FCC’er was absolutely flipping out on the shipping clerk about them not having any empties. I mean screaming. She banned him from that location and after he stormed out her boss came, talked it over and they banned him from all Chewys. So idk sounds like he won if you ask me. Anyway, no empty for me neither and I already got the word I was done for the week so I figured screw it and PC’d bobtail to the yard and home is where I sit.

He asked if we have a contract hauling out of there now because he’s been seeing a lot of us. He said he doesn’t want to be stopping the same trucks all the time. At least I should be safe for a while if I go back.MidWest_MacDaddy, IH9300SBA, cdavis188 and 3 others Thank this.

Sounds like he won too me also. The chubby guy that works always seems to have a figgity attitude, last few times I picked up a Mt something or another was wrong with it mudflap torn off from trailer being backed up to curb to hard hanger bent tires flat airlines leaking.MidWest_MacDaddy and IH9300SBA Thank this.
