I'd almost certainly do that before the harness... I'll keep that link in mind

Check with Hunter Peterbilt in Lancaster PA I've got a 03 and they ordered the correct cables for me company made them
Oxbow Thanks this. -
Honestly, when those jumpers inevitable corrode like that what I do is put a regular jumper wire in and then there has always been more than enough wire on the smaller gauge wire that comes off it to just cut the plug in connector off and put a simple eyelet on the end and connect it to the battery that way.
Just keep it simple. -
just get new cables and hard wire the other connectors. it's ECM power and anything else that's been hacked into the truck over the years
Oxbow Thanks this. -
Put some holdowns on the batteries and the cable jumpers won’t break like that.
sloshed, Cdemars316, skallagrime and 1 other person Thank this. -
Agree with the hold downs, ended up doing this on the road with a strap and getting home and doing it the right way. Keeps everything in there from moving around and the battery box already has holes in it for the rod to go through the bottom

Don't forget they like a good bath now and again..
