Looking at trying to get into the fuel industry just trying to do more research on companies. I would like to know more about them and if anybody has work for one of the two companies mentioned above.

I assume you’re in Portland??? They’re both good. I’d personally go with Sentinel over Alpha. I’d also go with Superior or Jackson.
-
Thanks do you know what there pay is like and benefits?
-
Sentinel is at $40/hr, I think, with benefits and retirement. Alpha is load pay from what I remember, but I could be wrong. Their equipment was nice looking and drivers seemed happy. I’d suggest looking at Superior and Jackson too.

Thanks i will i did apply so hopefully I can Get on with one of them
-
Did you decide to go with one of them?
-
Well I did put a application in for superior and sentinel but haven't received a call back from neither sentinel told me they would send my application to the terminal manager but hasn't got back to me.. also I did see a company called big rig trucking they haul fuel and drive nice Pete's but I'm not sure if I should just call them. I put a quick apply application for them also but no call back. What do you suggest should I start checking up and bug them a little?Rugerfan Thanks this.

Big Rigs is out of Puyallup. They run a lot of ethanol down to Shell Portland and other racks. They run some really nice equipment, and then some fairly rough equipment
-
Cool do you know the pay? Or ot ? Do you need petroleum experience to work for them
-
I’m not sure. I’m out of Portland but ran out of Tacoma for a couple weeks for the company I work for and saw Big Rigs at NuStar Tacoma and Shell Seattle delivering ethanol. I stayed in Puyallup so I saw them a lot headed back to their yard.
