If they're treating you right for loads, stick with them. Any dedicated and contract freight is gonna be important to have the rest of this year.

 

Good part of this winter’s feed. About 300 round bales here. Got another 150 around the neighborhood.

Yeah man. For sure. They were offering a rate for a one-time haul and asked if I would be interested in running these through at least mid-October and offered me a higher rate for it so I agreed. The rate was really good for a one-time haul but any more money offered to me is a good thing. It actually pays good enough to haul from Houston to Dickens and unload and then deadhead back to Houston to get another one. If I slip an extra load in there it's only extra income to cover any added expenses.

 

I dont know how much you run out of Houston, but DOT has been on a tear lately it seems. 45 N bound scale, I was told the other day they were doing roadsides on 290 N, I think it was a Sheriff commercial enforcement unit.

I just realized you're in Waxahachi. I load at Gerdau all the time and run local stuff around DFW most weeks if Im not in Houston.

 

Land shark has been growing. Maybe another year and he will move on from the bottom of couches and the baseboard
