I've hit a wall on figuring anything out on a truck i bought. I bought a 2013 Pete 389 that had the ISX 15 swapped for a 2002 ISX450. the truck runs great until 53 mph and just stops like its governing out, I looked and the governor is set to 68 on the truck. it is throwing just about every emission code. I figured the emissions would have been taken care of with the ecm swap. are the emissions controlled by another computer like the cecu on the truck. any advice is appreciated thank you.

To my knowledge it should have all gone with the ecm…but unfortunately it’s pretty common that stuff like this is done in a half ### manner and it’s anyone’s guess what is going on. Has it ever worked right or did you buy it with problems Hopefully you have a diagnostic computer or know someone who does. Or drop a 3408 in there instead problem solved and way cooler.beastr123, Jacob-3408 and Diesel Dave Thank this.

No i got it at an auction and now I'm trying to figure out this swap from the back to the front, but this is the first truck I've ever had that has had emissions. i though it would be good to go with the swap but I'm just out of my element. I've always been big on the ol' 3408 but i just had an injection pump rebuilt on one and after going thorough that, i might just have to change my name lol. cat doesn't even make a kit for them anymore.W923 Thanks this.

If it's a 2002 year model engine it won't have any emissions on it.

That what i was thinking but it is throwing emission codes. surely the people who swapped it wouldn't have been able to make the isx 15 ecm work with the 2002 isx 450 motor.

What code specifically is it showing? and from what computer on the truck? it could just be that the CECU never had its settings changed to match the swap, and is still looking for the systems that are now missing.
Any pictures of the engine and ECM that are on it now? along with the engine serial number would be helpful. -
You probably gotta find a tuner who can play with that ecm
