Best has their own school in kernersville, but they’re regional.
I think Forsyth and Davidson county community college have a driving school. -
Received confirmation Magnum allows 2 dogs.
They tell me they will arrange transportation to Fargo ND so I can ride and drive with one of their trainers.
After 4 weeks assuming we still like each other I get my own truck to drive back to NC to pickup my personal items then hit the road and make them $$Chinatown Thanks this. -
Called Best left a message but have yet to hear back.
Also called 160 Driving School they require a 30 minute in person sit down. I think that means 5 minutes to exchange pleasantries and 20 minutes of sales pitch. -
Go for it then; Magnum has an excellent reputation.RollinChaos Thanks this.

Does Magnum have cdl school?
-
Got this via email from Magnum recruiter:
If you are hired as an OTR trainee we would provide transportation to Fargo, ND where orientation takes place. Once your training is completed, we would issue you your own truck and get you a load going home so you can take a few days to pack your truck up etc. We will need you to apply once you have your CDL and med card. Our insurance is Blue Cross Blue shield, once you apply we can go over it in detail.
So I'm lining up CDl class, yippee!Chinatown Thanks this. -
OK, you have to graduate from a cdl school first. That's ok.

Most likely 160 will be running your credit report and offer a “easy” payment plan if you qualify.
I think future truckers in asheboro is still in business.
The community colleges will be the cheapest, other than company sponsored.RollinChaos Thanks this. -
C T, put in your notes about Wilson...student runs full team operation after a few days w/trainer for 8 - 9 weeks. Then after that w/a fellow student off trainers truck for an additional 6 - 8 weeks before they can solo or stay team. All 48 states.
No idea on when one might get home for a few days with all this crap.
Also, double occupancy hotel during orientation, etc.
Talk about pure misery and dangerous from pretty much day 1. I would have to say, stay clear of this company if you don't love teaming w/total strangers.
All info. came from a buddy that applied and quickly passed...
